We stop and live in desert throes
Where seldom traveled weed-grass grows
Where no one hears the anguished plea
"Please leave me alone"

Hammers of the titans' cause
Driving nails into the claws
Of little creatures quivering
Beneath their narrow laws

The titans rule the vulture-land
With hammers laden heavy-hand
Smashing all that isn't strong
Grinding into dust

Seizing common larks and fears
And using them like sharpened spears
To puncture weak resistance
And to make our bubbles bust

The sounds of cries upon the wind
Of those who won't get up again
Are gathering across the lands
Where titans roam

The sounds of cries upon the wind
Of those who won't get up again
Are gathering across the lands
Where titans roam

The sounds of cries upon the wind
Of those who won't get up again
Are gathering across the lands
Where titans roam

The sounds of cries upon the wind
Of those who won't get up again
Are gathering across the lands
Where titans roam

Beware the titans as they roam
They'll push you to a desert home
If you don't stand
To face them and
Defend your precious dreams
