George had a friend named Bill Blackstone who played guitar and wanted to start a band. We went over to Bill's house and started practicing together. I played bass and sang the leads.
We played a mix of originals and covers (Rush, Scorpions, et al). At some point, Bill brought in a new vocalist (can't remember his name). I was bummed about it, but continued on as the bass player. One day I showed up to practice and was kicked out of the band. George stayed, which didn't feel all that great, but that's the way it goes. We hadn't played anything but some parties before that, so I never knew what happened with Blackstone. |
