I love the Lord.
When I get up in the morning I am thankful because I recognize I'm being allowed to live another day. Every sense I experience, every thing I enjoy, every breath I take, every beat of my heart...all these and more are not provided simply by Nature, but by God. Earth is amazing. It's beautiful, dangerous, awesome and perfect. Life itself, regardless of what worshipers of Man will tell you, is a deliberate mystery we will never understand in this present form. All we can do is examine, categorize, describe and rationalize. This planet, the one we all share, could be paradise but it isn't. Not because of ambition or carbon emission, but because of our own rebellious nature. As John MacArthur said, "Sin is simply a manifestation of self-worship and rebellion against God." In the 21st century, people know exactly what they're rejecting. Most of the world is aware of who Jesus is, and we are coming very near to the time when all the world will have been exposed to the Gospel. So, in a literal sense, time is running out. The Bible is not a magical instruction set for people who keep their heads in the sand, it's not a crutch for those who can't face life, it is the Word of God. Dismissing it is a vital mistake. If you believe your own thoughts and desires dictate reality, think again. Delusions are like Satan, as in the Shakespearean line: "...the devil hath power T'assume a pleasing shape;" We are all on borrowed time. What we choose to do with that time matters more than many of us wish to acknowledge. Turn to God, and don't look back. |
