The Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone is a challenge.
It's a challenge to anyone who cherishes civilized society and the rule of law. While the videos being made about the occupied zone appear divided as usual, between those who support the insurrection and those who oppose it, there are certain facts that can't be disputed. The six block area was seized, cordoned off, and is being patrolled with serious weaponry. Within that area are not just private shops, but hundreds of civilian residents who did not give consent to this armed occupation. Local government officials are not only refraining from ending this insurrection, they have been providing food, portable toilets and cleaning services to these radicals, and claiming "peaceful protest" while being afraid to go to the zone themselves. It is interesting to watch the violence and destruction the last two weeks in this country. It has gone far past any connection to the death of a black man in police custody. With baffling wide support from liberal legislators, celebrities, and others who influence the masses, the demands of the radical protesters only grow more numerous and less reasonable. During this process, the question has to eventually present itself: just how do these "revolutionaries" think this will end? When they go too far, and they certainly will if allowed to continue this circus, the necessary violence visited upon them by the federal government will not be rejected by the hardworking, responsible and law abiding citizens in this country. In fact, the citizens of the United States who love peace, prosperity, and freedom will heave a sigh of relief, much like passing a large and stubborn bowel movement. |
