For those of you just arriving from Mars, CHAZ stands for Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, CHOP stands for Capitol Hill Occupied Protest, and BLM stands for Black Lives Matter.
The people who insist that CHAZ/CHOP is "not as bad as they're saying it is" are missing the point. The area was taken by force to the point that the police actually left their precinct. The people involved declared a secession from the United States, and secured their occupied border around an area that contains approximately 500 residents who did not consent to these actions. That is insurrection, and it is not part of a peaceful protest nor an acceptable state of civilian existence in a free, democratic republic. There are live streams of CHAZ/CHOP. There are many videos of people walking through it. There are many videos of people reporting on conditions in the area. Just search YouTube, they're easy to find. Let's be honest. The taking over of six blocks in a United States city by unemployed young people makes for great jokes about, and embarrassment for, local government officials who are spineless, toothless and clueless. Will this allegedly important ideological event produce any positive change? Nah. Jobless "protesters" don't accomplish much more than making a mess. The popularity of BLM is most likely the result of misplaced empathy. There are a great deal of people willing to march in Washington D.C. and other cities, many thousands in fact. Most of them, the ones who are not looting or rioting, probably feel as though they are trying to right a serious wrong. In the news, and online, and even in the private business world, there is a lot of pressure to conform to the BLM narrative, that being that the police are all corrupt and white people are inherently racist and can do nothing to change that status. People are literally losing their jobs over disagreeing. Private American companies are bending to the will of social media pressure. The mistake most of the supporters of BLM are making has nothing to do with attempting to fix injustice. The mistake they are making is in assuming that BLM's rhetoric is merely that: overblown statements designed to ignite interest, but with no real intention to implement. It's a mistake because BLM are not exaggerating. They actually want everything they're demanding, which includes not only "defunding" but also completely dismantling the police departments in every city across the nation. It doesn't take a member of Mensa to understand how something that radical would play out. They want "white people" to get on their knees for the sins of some of their forefathers. Apparently there are not enough people who have stopped to think about what would happen if BLM's arbitrary claims and racially provocative tactics were applied in the opposite direction. BLM is a movement seeking power, plain and simple. The incredible irony of many of our US citizens being willing to conscientiously cede their dignity to an organization whose rhetoric has been nothing but unforgiving, combative, and aggressive is disappointing at best. If you want to hold hands and sing Kumbaya, you might consider doing it with organizations that don't have leaders such as Yusra Khogali, who make these kinds of public statements (deliberate feminist misspellings corrected for readability, other misspellings left as is. The most interesting quotes are in bold text): ======================================= "whiteness is not humaness." "infact, white skin is sub-human." "all phenotypes exist within the black family and white people are a genetic defect of blackness" "white ppl have a higher concentration of enzyme inhibitors that surpress melanin production. they are genetically deficient because;" "melanin is present at the inception of life" "melanin is directly linked to fertility and the human reproductive system" "melanin is directly linked to strong bones" "melanin is directly linked to the strength of the nervous system" "melanin is directly linked to the strength of senses such as vision and hearing" "melanin is directly linked to the strength of neuro systems affecting capacities like intelligence, memory and creativity" "melanin enables black skin to capture light and hold it in its memory mode which reveals that blackness converts light into knowledge." "melanin directly communicates with cosmic energy." "this is why the indegeniety of all humanity comes from blackness." "we are the first and strongest of all humans and our genetics are the foundation of all humanity." "melanine is essential for the efficient performance of all the body natural functions." "THEREFORE" "white ppl are recessive genetic defects. this is factual." "white ppl need white supremacy as a mechanism to protect their survival as a people because all they can do is produce themselves. black ppl simply through their dominant genes can literally wipe out the white race if we had the power to." "it is why white supremacy as an imperial system thrives. it tries to control, surpresses and destroy our existence in blackness because we are a threat to the genetic anhilation of white ppl." "do you ever wonder how black ppl after centuries of colonial violence, genocide and destruction - no matter what systems created to make us extinct...how we keep coming back?" "it is because we are superhumans." ========================================= Keep in mind, this is not a crazy, fringe nut on the edges of the BLM movement, chanting nonsense inspired by race-baiting ideologues...this is a co-founder of BLM in Toronto, Canada. Those kinds of statements that Khogali and others who represent BLM make, regarding differences between races, sound eerily familiar. Adolf Hitler believed the nation of Germany had become weak, corrupted by dysgenics, the infusion of degenerate elements into its bloodstream. Hitler also believed in racial superiority and strived to create an Aryan superhuman through genetic manipulations (selective breeding of exceptional Aryans). His method of dealing with the existence of sub-humans was to exterminate the "Untermensch." The first paragraph from Wikipedia's page about Untermensch (specific texts highlighted by me): "Untermensch (German pronunciation: [ˈʔʊntɐˌmɛnʃ], underman, sub-man, subhuman; plural: Untermenschen) is a Nazi term for non-Aryan "inferior people" often referred to as "the masses from the East", that is Jews, Roma, and Slavs – mainly Poles, Serbs, and later also Russians.[1][2] The term was also applied to Blacks, Mulattos and Finn-Asian.[3] Jewish people were to be exterminated[4] in the Holocaust, along with the Polish and Romani people, and the physically and mentally disabled.[5][6] According to the Generalplan Ost, the Slavic population of East-Central Europe was to be reduced in part through mass murder in the Holocaust, with a majority expelled to Asia and used as slave labor in the Reich. These concepts were an important part of the Nazi racial policy.[7] " How did Hitler manage to get normal, reasonable people to go along with his ideas? He successfully convinced almost the entire population of Germany that these different groups were inferior, and furthermore their existence was degrading the German's quality of life and keeping Germany from succeeding as a world power. He reduced these groups from humans created in the image of God, into sub-human objects that were genetically irredeemable, and therefore required disposal for the survival of the German people. One may correctly point out that the leaders of BLM aren't officially calling out for the extermination of non-black people, and that in fact such an attempt would surely fail due to simple numbers, but the particular ideology of comparing one skin color to another with the aim of assigning superiority to one and inferiority to another, is one we've encountered before at other times in history. And it never ends well. |
