Truth and consequences

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
-- 2 Peter 3:9

We have been witnessing a paradigm shift in the perception of reality by the current adult population of the United States and western Europe. The seeds of the shift began in the 1960's, and decade by decade has grown to a level of proliferation that has impressively altered daily reality for even the most removed from political activism.

The paradigm shift embraced by the last two most recent generations, simply stated is: both truth and consequences are not as relevant as feeling good.

Millennials were the first generation to fully adopt 'woke' ideals at the deliberate expense of conservative values. Generation Z's final collective self-actualization remains to be seen, but based on polls regarding their attitudes on topics such as LGBTetc and recreational substance abuse, it does appear the generation's moral compass seems to be decidedly subjective and relativistic.

One might react to this so far with a general "So what?" However, there are certain logical trajectories for a society that values personal convenience and pleasure over real-world consequences that have been tacitly understood for millennia.

Human beings are highly adaptable, one of the many unique features of our species that allow us to hold sway over the Earth. This is a useful attribute, especially when conditions around us become unpleasant.

In the case of the most recent two generations, this attribute has been used in a preventative way to alleviate one particular outcome. That outcome appears to be any type of negative feedback or dissent. Feeling good is now more than a fringe benefit of good times or behavior; it has become the most highly regarded and strictly protected value.

To impart a sense of scope, everyone has been exposed to examples, via mainstream media, of the disparate reactions to a 'hate crime' and a genuine, real-world violent crime.

For example, it is commonly considered much more shocking for someone to use the n-word (a derogatory reference to humans with dark skin) or f-word (a derogatory reference to male humans who prefer to have sex with their own gender) than to hear about an Asian woman being murdered in a New York subway station by a mentally ill man who clearly needed to be institutionalized, or at least incarcerated to protect the public.

Another example of our current priority hierarchy is we find it more expedient and humane to provide needles for addicts rather than detaining them and requiring detox and rehabilitation before returning them to the free world in a much better mental and physical state to coexist with their fellow citizens. We prefer to not judge them, therefore we support their addictions instead of actually helping them out of their self-destructive spiral to hopefully live more productive and satisfying lives.

In 2022, words are inexplicably equal to physical violence and you're not even allowed to think something differently than the crowd, much less say it, or you risk at the least a failed degradation of your character, and at worst a threat to and possible loss of livelihood and reputation.

In 2022, the oppressed are overcompensated by activists who endeavor to instill guilt in people who have never personally done anything wrong to the allegedly oppressed groups.

In 2022, it is common to see complete and astounding reconfigurations of reality, such as claiming that human males can give birth to children, or that basically anything you imagine must be recognized as real, especially if it flies directly in the face of common sense and scientific fact.

Anyone who hasn't slept through the last ten years knows this list could continue much longer than anyone wishes to spend time reading. Let's skip to the chase.

The general population has become so enamored of their own sense of entitled sovereignty, their version of being free is to be free of judgment, no matter what they choose to do.

The recognition and honoring of objective truth, the sober acknowledgement that bad decisions typically produce bad consequences, the traditional family with a married mother and father, the validity of biological science, the practice of true justice, the existence of God, the hard-earned wisdom of the past.

Those are the time-tested and established bulwarks of a healthy society that have been sacrificed so adults (and children!) can

1) indulge in anything they find personally erotic, especially if it doesn't involve a traditional man and woman in monogamy,

2) elevate orgasm to the single most important aspect of a sacred mystery (sex between a man and a woman), something they consider no more special than any other biological act, such as eating or defecating,

3) pretend that their own thoughts and words create reality, much like their unspoken assumptions that they are their own sovereign gods,

4) force others to legally comply with their delusions, under the pretense of safeguarding the oppressed,

5) expose younger and younger children to sexual ideas and perversions under the banner of sexual education that was never actually needed now nor in the past,

6) experiment with hormone regimens and surgery, only to find a deep and anguishing regret when they 'get there' and are forced to admit to themselves that mutilation did not change who and what they truly are, but merely made the problem worse by enabling their emotional instability with often permanent physical alterations,

7) elevate the perverted by promoting anything and everything that dissolves the traditional family through time,

8) elevate the mentally unstable by applauding and promoting their unfortunate delusions and indulgences,

9) elevate and celebrate any particular group's status by twerking and parading half-naked in public while insisting this behavior is worthy of respect and serious consideration by the population in general,

10) murder 60 million children for the sake of nothing more than convenience, and attempt to excuse it by pretending that it's about choice rather than the deliberate desecration of an infinitely rewarding gift provided by God.

Everyone outside Noah's family thought he was crazy and delusional. All the men of Sodom thought that no one had the right to judge them, and that they were entitled to force homosexual sex on two innocent strangers. The Pharaoh of Egypt, thought to be a god by his people, considered Moses to be a fool and an idiot. The prophets of Israel, who gave their people wisdom from the Lord, were typically stoned to death or slaughtered in some way by those same people. The literal Son of God was excruciatingly scourged without mercy until his skin was ripped to shreds and his face was unrecognizable, and then murdered in a deliberately painful way by the religious leaders of his own chosen people.

We will all stand before the Lord one day in the future, when perfect justice is finally provided for all.

At that final and decisive moment, too many of you will be facing something more devastating than you can possibly imagine in your worst nightmare...vastly worse than hearing an offensive word or imagining your own oppression. An event that you could have spent time learning about, taking seriously, and preparing for with humility.

But instead you chose to tell yourselves that God is an antiquated myth and that there is no life after death, or that God is a super chill dude who will high-five everyone into blissful eternity, or that dying your hair unnatural colors, defacing your temples into graphic novels and fashionable pincushions, and humping anything that moves were evolved and enlightened things to do with your freedom.
