Pronouns and rainbows

There are people in our 2023 western culture who, because of the digital age we inhabit, are unwittingly gambling with the peace and safety they currently enjoy. I use the word 'gambling' because they apparently haven't thought through all the ramifications of the data-driven world to which we're now subject.

Ironically, due to the current zeitgeist regarding sexual preferences, legal enforcements thereof, vicious online castigation, cancel culture and plain old-fashioned death threats, the LGBT+ lobby has the majority of the population frightened of uttering the 'wrong' words or having the 'wrong' thoughts. While being constantly reminded of how the bigots and racists are causing suicides by the minute, we are told that anything other than complete complicity is considered evil, Hitler-like bigotry.

I say ironically because what the rabid anti-traditionalists haven't considered is a future where their leftist ideologies no longer hold institutional sway.

Winding the clock back to Nazi Germany, we see that the many groups that Hitler decided to separate out and identify as being enemies of the Fatherland were compelled to wear badges of their group while incarcerated in the concentration camps. Some of the badge symbols were:
  • Black triangle: gypsies, mentally ill, alcoholics, drug addicts, vagrants, pacifists, prostitutes, lesbians, disabled people.
  • Pink triangle: homosexual men, bisexual men, trans women, pedophiles and practitioners of bestiality
  • Purple triangle: Jehovah's Witnesses and other pacifist religious groups.
  • Blue triangle: refugees.
  • Green triangle: criminals.
  • Red triangle: all political opposition to the Nazi party.

Now fast forward to the present. By our own volition, we have publicly (and permanently, thanks to social media and the digital age) identified ourselves with particular ideologies. One may think one is merely being supportive of specific communities by adding pronouns to one's social media status, or perhaps one is even a true believer in the concept of myriad genders. Either way, the end result is the same: a public and digitally permanent acknowledgement that one is in support of the concept.

The utilization of rainbows in one's bio, or a corporation's logo, or a flag waved at a Pride Parade, etc., are all deliberate demonstrations (and again permanent records thanks to the digital age) that one is either sympathetic to, or a serious proponent of, LGBT+ ethics and directives.

With the previous paragraphs being established, I would pose one highly relevant question:

Are we all so arrogant and entitled that we think the culture as we currently experience it will remain as it is forever?

At this point I will call to your attention the surprising and unanticipated move in very recent years of European and Eastern countries toward a decidedly conservative cultural stance. This as a phenomenon is relatively recent. While we in the Western hemisphere imagine ourselves as the cultural innovators for the world, the rest of the world has slowly begun rejecting globalist directives and Western cultural influence.

Witness the shocking changes in government in Poland, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and France. In each of these countries, conservative parties have either already taken control of the government via democratic election, or are poised to win in near-future general elections.

Also consider the efforts being put forth in Russia, China and India. Russia has deliberately committed to a return to traditional customs and values, including a concentrated effort to restore a traditional faith in God to the general population. China has literally outlawed the broadcasting of effeminate pop stars on any of their communication and entertainment platforms. Even India, along with Russia and China, publicly rejects the morally corrupting influence of 'The West.'

While all this is happening in the world, Canada, the United States, and Britain are still assuming their cultural preeminence is a foregone conclusion in the global scheme of national influence. But they are woefully out of step with a shift that will eventually leave them behind.

The return to traditional customs and values is the opposite of the globalist's goal, but it is still a global phenomenon that shows no signs of weakening or disappearing. To be clear, it is a statistically growing phenomenon, not a societal anomaly.

Why does any of this matter to the average person in the United States?

It would be wise for all of us living in the United States to take a very close look at how we portray ourselves to the world, because the time will come when what was once considered a 'right side of history' decision could turn out to be exactly what destroys our lives in the future.

What will you do when the people you called deplorables, bigots, racists, white supremacists and name-your-phobes are elected into office and establishing what is valued and who is cancelled?

Don't think this could ever happen in the United States?

Try talking with the liberal activists who live in Poland, Hungary, Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Russia, China, India, etc. They were supremely confident they would never lose control of the culture either, but they did indeed lose it.

Why did they lose control of their various cultures?

Because their previous control of the culture came from the top down, through institutions, corporations, legal activism, and public shaming via mainstream media, government and Silicon-Valley-controlled social media.

The one thing none of them gave serious consideration to was the fact that the general population, the vast majority, were never complicit with the cultural ethos that was being forced on them from the top down by liberal elites who think they know better than the unwashed masses.

In each of the above listed countries, a grass roots conservative rebellion rose organically as a reaction to liberal ideological implementations that, for lack of a better description, eventually went 'too far.'

The Great Reset is definitely coming, but it isn't quite what the liberal elite globalists had in mind.
