I found some interesting graphics yesterday of the red versus blue counties in the United States.
But before I share them, I'd like to return to a subject mentioned in recent essays. I've referenced the interesting shift toward democratically elected conservatives in various European countries. Some may write this off as a minor bump in the road that we all seem to be traveling on toward a liberal paradise of 'anything goes.' As the conservative political party trend picks up more steam year after year across the world, it becomes harder and harder to explain because here in the United States we still imagine ourselves as the cultural center of the universe. And as such, we're still relentlessly exporting the same moral free-for-all we've been selling for many decades. Some liberals may be oblivious to what I'm referring to, but the average conservative understands it well. Our culture, from universities to churches, from movies to music, from activists to the ACLU, is permeated through and through with enough profligate philosophy to bring entire nations to their knees in obeisance to family-destroying social mores and legislation. The United States is such a prolific exporter of immorality, many prominent nations are taking steps to literally cut us off from influencing their populations. It isn't just Russia or China seeking to block our influence. Our reputation is beginning to backfire. The stench of this status is difficult for those of us who still love this country. The treacherous activists, legal bulldogs, media propagandists and wannabe dictators in our government attempt to guilt the population into accepting this political and sexual corruption, but are becoming more and more exposed to the man on the street. As I mentioned in previous essays, it might behoove the radical leftists and LGBTQ+ activists to reconsider their trajectories. I say this because even though it may look like we've opened a Pandora's Box that can never be shut, there are certain realities that are creeping up on the far-left extremists. Take a look at the following graphics. The 2008 election results, county by county. The 2020 election results, county by county. You may not see it right away, but if you keep switching between the 2008 and 2020 graphics, you'll notice a lot of blue counties turned red between those two years. For a closer look, take a glance at this view that isolates a portion of the Midwest: A comparison of 2008 and 2020 Midwestern county election results. A radical activist still living in Fantasy Land will exclaim, "So what? The blue cities are all we need to win the election. Who cares about the rural counties?" While yes, it does seem to be the case that the electoral vote is won by the democratic party in many mostly red-county states because the numbers of urban voters exceed the numbers of rural voters. But that is irrelevant to the point I attempted to make in previous essays. I'll spell it out to those who may not be getting the gist. There are some on the Left (even in the mainstream media) who seem to love talking about a possible civil war. When the subject does come up, both sides are confident they would win the conflict. The truth is, the conservative patriots would completely crush the liberal left if such a war would break out. Yes, many liberals are buying guns, and many may be ready and willing to use them. Yes, the government may actually aid the liberals, because they currently paint civilian militias as bad actors. Hint: when Biden refers to "white supremacy" as the biggest threat to our country, he's actually talking about patriot militias, not the KKK or neo-Nazis. Militias have no interest in racial issues, but I'll save that for another essay. Take another look at the county map for 2020. If the urban centers are fighting the rural counties, the skirmishes will center mostly in the suburbs. One may speculate about which way an average suburbanite might point his gun, but that simplistic assessment misses the big picture. The vast majority of the land mass of the United States is red. Thus the vast majority of the natural resources would be controlled by the conservative militias. There wouldn't be enough manpower, even if the government activated the national guard and some branches of the active military, to seize control of enough natural resources (food) to sustain the urban fighters. Even if some resources were seized, how would they transport them from state to state? Furthermore, the cities would in effect be cut off from the rest of the world, being literally surrounded on all sides by the militias. If you remained in the city, you might as well forget about any semi trucks delivering goods to your location. Starving the urban liberals out would be only one scenario. Another would be continuously shrinking the urban outer perimeter until all of the most stubborn urban fighters would be corralled into a very small radius somewhere in the city. Let that sink in. This isn't just about toughness or bravery or attitude. It's not even about the delusions of righteousness that seem to pervade the liberal minds of the shameless. This is about logistics, and from a strategic standpoint, the red counties would make all the difference in an actual civil war. A wise bit of advice for those who still think they can force the population to capitulate by bullying on social media, intimidating detractors with the justice system, or using institutions to convert free-thinkers into cogs for the corrupt machine: Take a clue from the global liberal dominoes already falling. |
