Underestimation of the population

As far as today, August 22, 2024, it's not possible to conclusively predict how the November elections will go, despite endless polls and forecasts from both political camps.

However, I would like to suggest that if the Democratic Party loses the election, it will likely be due to their severe underestimation of the general population's ability to read between the lines.

Despite attempts ad nauseum to blame Donald J. Trump for every ill our country currently suffers from, it was observed by multiple public personalities recently that 12 out of the last 16 years were headed by Democrats in the White House. So of course the question becomes how can the Democratic Party blame all our country's ills on Trump when he only controlled the country for one fourth of the last sixteen years?

During the first night of the Democratic National Convention, here are some interesting stats regarding frequencies of what presenters at the convention decided to talk about:
  • Trump: 147 times.
  • Economy: 27 times.
  • Border: 8 times.
  • Crime: 6 times.
  • Prices: 5 times.
  • Inflation: 3 times.
This obvious concentration on hatred of Trump instead of actual policies that matter to the voters, demonstrates that the Democratic Party can't free themselves from their manipulative technique of using fear to motivate voters on election night.

It's been an ongoing Democratic Party sleight-of-hand since Trump came down the escalator and announced his official intention to run for president in 2016.

Honestly, it's a strategy that's been very effective for most of the last eight years. Unfortunately for the Democratic Party, the rise of independent journalism and decline of mainstream media has taken a lot of air out of their propaganda balloon.

Taking a step away from American/Western politics and focusing instead on the entire world, it would seem that the global elite's Utopian dreams of a new world order under one set of liberal tenets for all has been apparently rejected by most of the world's population.

The rise of the BRICS alliance, along with the growing number of countries that have wisely elected to join it, has contributed greatly toward the reduction of world influence by the Western contingency of nations whose greatest exports are entertainment and culture. Entertainment is valuable when you have leisure time, but worthless when it's time to eat. Culture is only as useful as the cohesiveness it supplies to a nation's population.

The Left's habit of painting half of the United States as rubes, cult members, idiots, racists, white supremacists, etc., certainly worked for well over a decade. It was a strategy drawn around fear, ignorance, pseudo-elitism, and the Left's own brand of spiritual hypocrisy.

But again unfortunately for the Democratic Party and mainstream media, since more and more people (especially younger people who grew up in the Internet age) are able and willing to seek truth and do their own fact checking, the constant lies and selective omissions of 'official' news sources are losing their grip on the public's consciousness.

The liberal propaganda that led people to believe that the other half of the country wanted to take away their rights, keep all the wealth for themselves and ultimately lynch all non-whites and homosexuals has overstayed its welcome and has grown tiresome to the 21st century mind.

And that leads to the conclusion of this essay which is also a nod to its title, in an inverse corollary:

The elites have grossly overestimated their puppet-master prowess.
