What is objective reality? Would you recognize it if you saw it?
According to the intellectual giants who hold sway in most institutions of learning in the western world, there is no such thing as objective reality. In fact, they boldly assert with cynical confidence that all reality is subjective and entirely relative, and therefore no standards can ever be truly agreed upon. Decades of this fashionably convenient philosophy has gifted us with three generations bereft of hope yet still overflowing with unearned self-importance. Too harsh an assessment? Consider that the self-importance is manifested by the cultural celebration of egotistical glibness and entitled narcissism. Move on to the absence of hope and that becomes clear when one scrutinizes the end result of a universe purported to be randomly generated by no one from nothing, and governed by undirected chaos. Support of relativism often includes references to 'Science,' as though somehow a lab somewhere managed to prove a negative in regard to the existence of God. Then there's the ironic appeal to common sense, which falls by the wayside when one considers how the data that have been gathered by multiple scientific disciplines in recent decades points to God being the simplest explanation for the obviously anthropocentric universe. Therefore Occam's razor serves neither the atheist nor the nihilist in this case. It takes a great deal more faith to believe in Darwinian species transmutation in the 21st century now that we know more about the delicate balance of the universe, combined with the mathematical impossibility of meeting the incremental evolutionary process with the known amount of given years passed since the big bang singularity. The biological single cell alone is insanely more complex than Darwin himself could have ever imagined. So then, what? To appreciate the foundations of objective reality despite the insidious machinations of the intelligentsia, you must walk backwards from today's end result to clearly see the corruption of veracity through time. To the current generation, freedom means you can do whatever you want, and no one else's opinion should matter. No one else's opinion matters because we have been taught from kindergarten through doctorate that our personal happiness takes precedence over all other parameters in human existence. We have been taught that our personal happiness takes precedence because we are each our own gods. We are each our own gods because we have been taught that only a naive bigot believes in a living creator God. Only a naive bigot believes in God because we have been taught that science has proven God does not exist. Science proved God doesn't exist because we have been taught that Darwinian macro-evolution is a fact. Darwinian macro-evolution is a fact because there are tens of millions of fossils gathered since the publication of Origin of Species, each one identified and catalogued to conform to the arbitrary Tree-of-life evolutionary model expropriated from Carolus Linnaeus's "Systema Naturae." The Tree-of-Life model was expropriated from Linnaeus because it was the best known demonstration of the concept of evolutionary development through time. It was the best known explanation of species evolutionary development through time because it was the only one that seemed to conform to Darwin's theory. It was the only explanation that conformed to Darwin's theory though it contained immense developmental gaps between organisms. It contains immense developmental gaps between most species that have never been closed by discovery after 166 years of searching. Excuse me...what was that last part? Since this inconvenient fact hasn't changed in 166 years, it must not be Darwinian evolution alone that precludes the existence of God. Should we start all over again in the logical progression? No. People insisting that God does not exist has been happening almost as long as people insisting He *does* exist. Regardless, the point is that Science has not proven that God does not exist, therefore the reason to believe He doesn't exist has absolutely nothing to do with science. What does all this have to do with objective reality? Everything, because the very nature of 'objective' means it does not come from us, it comes from elsewhere. If reality is not subjectively generated by us, meaning we did not create it, then who did? There is a very old answer to that question, and if you genuinely seek it, you will find it. |
