Let's start by making a few basic observations.
While one may prefer to view the world through the rose-colored lenses of gender ideology, e.g. a belief in a potentially infinite collection of rainbow-inspired genders, one must yet still acknowledge that the only way to produce a human being is by introducing an XY (male) sperm to an XX (female) egg. Yes, it is true that a biological male may of course put on makeup and women's clothes and inject androgen blockers and estrogen and think himself a female, and a biological female may certainly chop her healthy breasts off and wear men's clothes and inject testosterone and think herself a male. However, there never has been, nor will there ever be a female sperm or a male egg. These two constituents are biologically impossible thanks to DNA. What certainly is actually possible in real life, is a man who transitions to live as a woman but retains his genitals, therefore also retains his ability to produce sperm. If the man transitions to female status by hormone treatment and surgery, but keeps his biologically male genitals, doesn't get a vasectomy and the hormones don't actually sterilize him, then he (the man who is now impersonating a woman) can still produce sperm for reproduction. Also, if a woman transitions to male status by hormone treatment and surgery, but keeps her biologically female inner reproductive system and the hormones actually don't sterilize her, then she (the woman who is impersonating a man) can still produce eggs for reproduction. Therefore, a couple that consists of a trans man and a trans woman who retain their original biological ability to reproduce may potentially be able to have intercourse and create children. Does that change the status of their sperm and egg? Have the XY sperm and XX egg somehow magically switched the gender dictated by the DNA of their respective origins? No, and they never will, which is no small detail though quite conveniently ignored by some. Moving on to the title of this essay... The only way to produce a human being is through fertilizing a human egg with a human sperm, regardless of fertility drugs, surrogacy and test tubes. It must thus be observed that the clear purpose of a sperm and an egg is to join together to create a new human. While one may love to revel in experimental scientific possibilities, and because of that one may imagine some other uses for sperm and egg, the truth is these two constituents have the sole purpose of creating new people. That particular truth gives way to quite a collection of conclusions. To reveal some of these not-very-surprising conclusions, let's work backward from conception. Before sperm can meet egg and commence cell division, the egg must leave an ovary, travel down its Fallopian tube, and lodge itself on the inner surface of the uterus. Also the sperm must leave a teste and after ejaculation must swim its way into the uterus and egg. For the egg to be produced by the ovary, and the sperm to be produced by the teste, the ovaries and testes must exist. For the ovaries to exist, they must be generated by DNA during gestation to appear in a human female. For the testes to exist, they must be generated by DNA during gestation to appear in a human male. For the human male or female to exist, they had to have been produced by the same process involving their biological parents. Taking a step away and looking at the big picture, it seems obvious to observe that the entire purpose of sperm meeting egg is to produce more people. But what is also obvious upon further scrutiny, yet often conveniently ignored by fanciful human beings, is that sex, which is the physiological process by which nature introduces sperm to egg, is being flagrantly corrupted from its actual purpose. But wait a minute, you say! Just because sex is the natural means by which we can produce children, that doesn't mean producing children is its only purpose! Aha! Yes, it is true, our bodies were designed to be attracted (by hormones naturally present in the body, and specific aesthetic shapes) to the opposite gender. Once the male and female join together for intercourse, there are wondrous and pleasant physical sensations that (at least in the male) produce the physical response of ejecting the sperm from the male genital during what we refer to as orgasm. Because of those wondrous and pleasant physical sensations (and the natural emotional attachment they generate), we find ourselves drawn to have intercourse as often as we can endure or have time to commit. At this point, one may add commentary on whether or not the man and woman should be married, what their minimum age should be, how distantly they should be related, etc. However, those conjectures are not as consequential to this essay as the method one utilizes to experience orgasmic pleasure. If one decides to achieve orgasm or sexual pleasure by some means other than a male genital being inserted into a female genital, is one using the sperm and egg for what they were meant to be used? No, one is not. One example of why non-procreational sex is abusing the sexual system for something other than its actual purpose, would be the vegetable known as the cucumber. Sure, one may take a freshly washed cucumber and insert it in the female vaginal canal or male anal canal. Furthermore, one may actually derive a sadomasochistic and/or fetishistic thrill from the insertion. But is that nature's purpose for the cucumber? Of course not. The purpose of the cucumber is to be consumed to convert matter to energy. Vastly more people consume cucumbers than insert them in non-oral orifices. This frequency in nature strongly suggests that the purpose of the cucumber is for consumption, not for use as a sexual implement. Stated differently, the actual true purpose of the cucumber, that being nutrition (motivated by hunger satiation and the pleasant effect of eating food one enjoys), is thwarted by prurient use. I submit to you then, that inserting the cucumber into someone's vagina or anus is a perversion of its intended use. Coming back to the sperm and egg issue: Regardless of the lascivious giddiness one may experience by inserting male genitals into anal canals, mouths, or other body parts, or the salacious thrill one may experience while denying sperm to the vagina during non-procreational sexual stimulation, the truth is that these conception-foiling activities are perversions of the actual purpose of the sexual system, which is sperm meeting egg for human reproduction. Because of that fact, one must conclude that anything other than normal genital insertion between a man and a woman is a perverted, anti-reproductive endeavor. It really doesn't matter how much any of us may seek to rationalize or justify these perversions with myriad proclamations regarding human rights, personal preferences, lived truths or allegedly liberating rebellion. The truth, unbesotted by convenient personal opinion, is that God's design is not nullified by human imagination. |
